Peggy J. Shadle's Obituary
Peggy J. Shadle, 82, of Camanche passed away, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be privately held at the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with the cremation and online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Peggy Joann Flood was born March 6, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Albin and Margaret (Campie) Flood. She married Dale “Jake” Shadle on August 22, 1953; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2002.
She was a homemaker and a member of Chancy Lutheran Church in Clinton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends but mostly loved fishing, riding motorcycle and flying remote control airplanes with her husband Jake. She also loved her dogs; she had many over the years.
Peggy is survived by her two brothers: Donald (Barb) Flood of Clinton and Marvin “Bill” Flood of Washington DC; sisters in law: Carol Shadle of Camanche and Darlene Shadle of Clinton; brother in law: Carl Nelson of Camanche; adopted daughter: Brenda Johnson of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband; Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Richard, one granddaughter Tabatha, three brother in laws, and five sister in laws.
