Peggy J. Krebs' Obituary
Peggy J. Krebs, 85, of Clinton passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Clinton Church of Christ, 210 N. 13th Street, Clinton. Burial will be at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lonny Boerema, Michael Krebs and Kerry Avery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday evening at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Peggy Joan Schnoor was born October 15, 1937 in Gladbrook, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Elsie (Busch) Schnoor. She was a 1956 graduate of Davenport High School. She married Arthur L. “Smokey” Sager on April 1, 1967 in Sterling, Illinois; he passed away on March 6, 1997. She later married Eldo Krebs on August 7, 2004 in Clinton, Iowa; he preceded her in death on February 7, 2022. She was a member of Clinton Church of Christ and the Red Hat Club.
Peggy is survived by her son Kerry Avery of Clinton; step children: Barbara Sager of Pearl City, Illinois, Robert W. Sager of DeWitt, Iowa, Richard A. Sager of St. Louis, Missouri, Donald S. Sager of Clinton, Katherine (Steve) Tiesman of Desoto, Missouri, Lori (Lonny) Boerema of Fulton, Illinois, Dawn Krebs of Clinton and Michael (Sandi Isenhour) Krebs of Clinton; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, brother Melvin Schnoor and step son Steven Sager.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the Rock River Christian Camp in Polo, Illinois.
