Pearl Buelow's Obituary
Pearl F. Buelow, 83, of Clinton, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the funeral home.
Pearl Frances Jones was born on January 17, 1927 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Powell) Jones. She married Charles Buelow on August 30, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She graduated from high school in Cape Girardeau. She was a medical secretary for Dr. William Snyder for over 20 years. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and bird watching. She was crowned the queen of River Boat Days in 1963.
She is survived by her husband: Charles of Clinton; one son: David (Nancy) Buelow of Denver, Colorado, one daughter: Debra (Richard) McGrath of Polk City, Iowa, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one sister: Wanda Keller of Las Vegas, Nevada, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
