Pauline Margaret Teachout's Obituary
Pauline Margaret Kixmiller Teachout, 91, of Clinton, Iowa, went home to be with her Savior, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at her home in Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Clinton Church of Christ, where lunch will follow the services. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Kixmiller, Nick Teachout, James Moore, James Tate, Rex Brandt, and Don Droste.
Burial will be held Sunday at the Buena Vista Memorial Park, Storm Lake, Iowa.
She was born March 26, 1923 in Carson, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Bessie (Putnam) Kixmiller. She was a Carson High School graduate and attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. She married Stanley Williams Teachout on August 25, 1941 in Carson, Iowa; he died June 22, 2004.
In pursuit of her dream to become an elementary teacher at Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, Iowa, she met and married her husband Stanley Williams Teachout. Continuing her quest to work with children, she worked with the youth in various positions at the Clinton Church of Christ. She was a member and very active in the Clinton Church of Christ and was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. Besides the love for her church, Pauline always put family first.
Pauline leaves behind a son, Dale (Karen) Teachout of Clinton; daughter, Debbie Teachout of Clinton; grandchildren, Michelle, Cybil and Nick; step-grandchildren, Michele (Johnny) Hembrick and James (Katy) Moore; six great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-mother, Bertha Kixmiller, brothers, Ralph and his wife Naoma, Carl and his wife Helen, step-sister, Elenor and her husband Roland Frain, step-brother, LeRoy Albright and his wife Vista and special sister in Christ, Bernice Long.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Church of Christ or to Cookson Hills Children’s Home.
