Pauline Sena (Outzen) Petersen Middlebury, Vermont June 17, 1916 - April 1, 2008
Pauline Sena (Outzen) Petersen, 91, passed away on April 1, 2008 in Middlebury, Vermont, where she had lived for the last three and a half years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lee Broadrick, Daniel Broadrick, John McKenna, Mike Temple, Aimer Schmidt and Barry Rickertson. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Pauline was born on June 17, 1916, in Clinton, Iowa to Christian and Gesene (Peters) Outzen. She attended Clinton Community schools. On August 1, 1932, Pauline married Leo A. Petersen of Clinton where they made their home until 1963 when they moved to Arizona. Her husband preceded her in death on June 4, 1991. She moved from Wickenburg, Arizona to Lawrence, Kansas in 1994, to Massachusetts in 2002, and to Vermont in 2004. In addition to her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Wilhemena Hass, Gertrude Hermann, and Anna Zirbes; and five brothers; Henry, Christian, George, Lloyd, Harold, and her twin brother, Paul, who died in December 1923. Pauline is survived by two daughters: Dolorus (Thomas) McKenna of Sheldon, Iowa, and Donna Koepp of Middlebury, Vermont; four grandchildren: Lee Broadrick and companion Roberta, of Wickenburg, Lynn Broadrick and Lory (Barry) Rickertson of Clinton, and Jon (Melissa) McKenna of Sioux City, Iowa; seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
