Pleasant reflections of 3 yrs. with Paul, his wonderful, humble parents, an adorable sister, and pesty adolescent brother! Can't forget the nights in their living room with popcorn, soda, and Rastas, the dog.
Mikey, Marv Johnson, and Paul labored over the conversion of a stick shift to 4 on the floor in the '55 Chevy. Guess I felt part ownership since all my babysitting profits went to parts and burgers at Golden Point and Snack Harbor. He could eat 6 at one sitting!
He liked working for my Dad hauling milk and being able to fill the gas tanks of all his friends with the company's supply. Didn't go over well with my Dad, who refrained from telling me then.
Yes, the drive-in movies, school dances, Belk's Lake, Paul Sr.'s grey Chevy, walks around Camanche, double dates with Fred and Penny Hugunin, meeting at Randi's, and liking ketchup on mac and cheese are fond memories.
My deepest sympathy to Ruth, who filled his heart with peace. To Ronnie Sue who has a hollow space in her soul as tears flow, and David who will forever remember a brother's love and showed how Jesus can change lives, and to all his beautiful children who grieve.
To all his friends, past and present, touched by a man of worth and humility, carry on as you think Paul would expect of you.
Cherish the promise of the resurrection hope, "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus) voice and come forth."

My deepest condolences....

Sorry for your loss. Praying for Ruth and the entire family.
Saddened but glad knowing he is with Jesus Christ & a host of others in Heaven. Paul and Ruth were wonderful at, and for the Valton church. He was the Pastor who presided over our wedding ( Cheryl & J). When I first met Paul I was newly saved. I was sitting by myself in Valton church during an event that was going on outside. I knew I needed to be reading the bible but it was just difficult. This guy comes up to me (Paul) and started talking to me and over time I ended up telling him of my plight. I never even knew he was the Pastor there. He told me about the yearly bible, I had never heard about that and so began my journey with the word of God. That was over a decade ago and has kept me in the word daily. Thank you God and thank you Paul. It's made a difference in my life and the lives of tbose around me. We will meet again... Jay
Pop and Orpha were my second parents, Paul was my best friend, we were the BBC's of Camanche. We grew up together, roamed the river, rebuilt our cars, did RABRAI and did a lot of crazy stuff. His sister Ronnie Sue was my sister also. We were all a family. Rest in peace brother.
