Paul Johnson's Obituary
Paul E. Johnson, 81, of Clinton, Iowa died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation, Clinton. Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service hour Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, where full military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS.
Paul was born March 15, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Clarence and Ruth (Healless) Johnson. He was a Clinton High School graduate. Paul was a United States Army Korean War Veteran. He married Charlene Voss-Groh on October 9, 1971 in Minocqua, Wisconsin.
Paul managed Johnson 66 for more than 20 years, retiring in the late 70â??s. He was a WWII history buff and enjoyed bowling, the outdoors and walking.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene of Clinton; daughter, Jennifer Johnson of Lenexa, KS; step-son, Dave (Lisa) Groh of Fulton, IL; step- grandchildren, Jessica, Jacquie and Jimmy and step-great granddaughters, Leah and Kaylee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the Second Reformed Church, Fulton or the Clinton Humane Society.
