Paul "Doc" C. Hansen's Obituary
Paul “Doc” C. Hansen, 75, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, November 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Memorial Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Paul Christian Hansen was born on May 17, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Donald William and Pearl Elsie (Duncan) Hansen. He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School. At Clinton High he completed a one class of three hour gas and stick welding.
Paul was employed by Alliant Energy retiring in 2010. He worked at the ML Kapp Generating Station in maintenance as a millwright welder for 23 years. In 2001, completed a continuing education 40 hour class fundamental machining. He also worked at Clinton Corn Processing completing a 8,000 hour government sanctioned millwright apprenticeship.
Paul or affectionately known as Doc, enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid collector with an impressive amount of memorabilia. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up and participate in activities.
Paul is survived by his wife: Karen of Clinton; his son: Paul (Eileen) Hansen of Hartford, Iowa, his daughter: Jennifer (Jon Wauford) Hansen of Clinton, Iowa; step-children: Debra Nielsen of Olathe, Kansas, Diane Schellenburg of Bettendorf, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Angie; sister: Carla, and step-daughter: Donna.
