Paul M. Cromer's Obituary
Paul M. Cromer, 83, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at MercyOne, Clinton. Memorial services will be held at 12:00PM (Noon) Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig. Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.
Paul was born November 14, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Alvin J. and Emma M. (Schumacher) Cromer. He was a Clinton High School graduate. Paul married Nancy Edens in 1962 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton.
Paul was self-employed as a brick layer with A.J. Cromer & Son for many years. He was also employed as property manager for Prince of Peace.
Paul was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Brick Layers & Allied Craftworkers Union, Local 6.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Clinton; daughters, Paula (Michael) Montgomery of Davis Junction, IL; Kim (Mike) Thornton of Thomson, IL and Tracy (Dave) Chapla of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Pearl Ketelsen, Earl Cromer and Alvin “Butch” Cromer.
