Paul Barnes, 73, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Mercy Living Center –North.

Larry Paul Barnes was born on Christmas Day 1943, the son of Rex and Evelyn (Lueders) Barnes. He attended Traer Schools. He met his future wife of 50 years: Reta (Flood) in Des Moines in the summer of 1964.
Paul and Reta moved to Clinton in 1967, when he started as a mechanic at Hilbert Standard, Clinton Lincoln Mercury, Lindquist Ford, and Clinton Auto Group. He was an avid pool player and played most of his life where he competed at state and national levels. He was also an avid Cubs, Yankees, Hawkeyes, Cowboys and River King fan.
Paul is survived by his wife: Reta, children: Vicki (Ross) Burns and Michael (Kim) Barnes; grandchildren: Amanda (Shane Kjormoe) Barnes, Samantha Burns, Rachel Burns, Justin Barnes, and Rhianna Barnes; sister-in-laws: Darlene Woodruff, Jean (Dwight) Joy, uncle: Warren Leuders and many cousins, niece, and nephews.
