Patricia A. Torode's Obituary
Patricia A. Torode, 62, of Goose Lake, Iowa passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm, Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes
& Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
Patricia Ann Larsen was born March 23, 1962 in Massachusetts, the daughter of Doug and Carolynn (Taylor) Larsen. She was a 1980 graduate of DeWitt Central High School and received her nursing degree from Southeastern Illinois College, Harrisburg Il. She married Brian Torode on April 4, 1987 in DeWitt, Iowa.
Pat worked as a nurse at DeWitt Family Practice and Dr. Randy Robinson’s for many years in Clinton. She
enjoyed cooking, baking, and making candy. She had quite the business taking her treats to many fairs
and craft shows. She had a heart for people, both in her profession, and in her personal life. She was
mom and grammy to many over the years. Pat especially loved to camp with family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors and planning camping activities and cooking for everyone.
She will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband Brian Torode of Goose Lake;
children: Crystal Torode of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Thomas (Sara) Torode of Waukee, Iowa and
Daniel Torode of Denver, Colorado; two brothers and one sister; cousin: Cindy Bergman, nephew Brian
and nieces Tiffany and Victoria. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and her dearest
aunt, Carol Simpson, who was like a mother to her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Humane Society in her name or to the American
Cancer Society.
