I want to thank everyone for your prayers, thoughts, well wishes, encouragement, or if you were there to hold my mother's hand during this time. Mom had a long journey with her illness and, as family members were by her side, everyone could attest Mom had a strong spirit to keep her fighting. One thing I will miss most about her is her dear sense of humor, which she had up until the day she passed. Please know my mother was well cared for by the staff at the hospital and, as she was there, got to know some of them personally and told them her feelings. Mom didn't want to express to her children how she felt about her troubles and, as everyone who knew Patty knows, she was not a women to complain. Mom stayed strong for the ones who were nearby until the very end. I, as well as my siblings and all of you, know we will miss Patty and remember her as a kind-hearted person always wanting to make people laugh and help anyway she could. I was with her when Mom made her peace with the Lord, so we will all know she is in a better place and does not need to be in pain any longer. I love you MOM!
