Owen L. Fishwild's Obituary
Owen L. Fishwild, 84, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Mercy Living Center - South.
Memorial Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Owen Lee Fishwild was born on June 7, 1931 in Clinton, the son of Leslie and Elma (Heasty) Fishwild. He was a 1949 graduate of Clinton High School. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1955. He then attended and graduated from Coe College in 1960.
Owen married Elaine Noon on January 10, 1959 in Erie, Illinois.
Owen was employed with Clinton Corn/Nabisco/ADM for many years retiring in 1993.
Owen enjoyed traveling, gardening, bowling, and spending time on the Mississippi River.
Owen is survived by his wife: Elaine of Clinton; three children: Karen Sue Andrews of Dublin, California, Nancy Anne Devine of Denver, Colorado, and Jay Lee (Karen) Fishwild of St. Louis, Missouri; and one grandson: Marshall.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Bruce and Kent.
Memorials may be made to the Victory Center, the Benevolent Society, or the YWCA.
