Otto Adolph Josund's Obituary
Otto Adolph Josund, 84, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Alverno, Clinton. Memorial services will be held at Noon Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial visitation will be from 11:00AM until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at snellzornig.com.
Otto was born January 9, 1940 in New Rockford, ND, the son of Otto J. and Cora (Hanson) Josund. He was a graduate of New Rockford High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. Otto married Judith Ann “Judy” Hoeg December 27, 1963 in Fessenden, ND.
Otto was employed as a welder with the Chicago North Western and Union Pacific Railroads for more than 38 years retiring in 2001.
Otto and Judy enjoyed traveling, especially to Australia, have visited all 50 states and most of the Canadian provinces. He was a lifelong Vikings fan.
Survivors include his wife Judy of Clinton; sons, Andrew “Andy” (Vicki) Josund of Clinton; Steven “Steve” Josund and William “Bill” (Jennifer) Josund both of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jamie, Tyler and Carter; great-grandchildren, Gaia and Atlas; sisters, Benita Baugatz of Batavia, IL and Judy Shockey of Goodland, KS; brother-in-law, Arnie Spitzer of Fulton, IL and nieces and nephews.
Otto was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Coral Spitzer; brothers-in-law, David Baugatz and George Shockey.
