Norma Marie Fairbanks' Obituary
Norma Marie Fairbanks, 82, of Camanche, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook, Bettendorf. A celebration of Norma’s life will be held from 4PM to 7PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Norma Tupy was born August 30, 1934 in Fort Atkinson, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Emma (Wagner) Tupy. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Waterloo, IA. Norma married Ronald E. Fairbanks November 28, 1953 in Tampa, Florida; he died November 28, 2007.
Norma owned and operated the Fairbanks Fishing Hole for more than 23 years
She collected Pillsbury Dough Boys and Snow Buddies. She loved her dog Missy and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Fairbanks of DeWitt, Iowa; daughter, Denise (Jeff) Dodson of Camanche, Iowa; grandchildren, Rosella and Charles Fairbanks, Aubrey (Kane Anderson) Dodson and Cooper Dodson; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Anderson and brother, Dale (Dorothy) Tupy of Wooster, Ohio.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a brother-in-law and a daughter-in-law.
