Nora J. McClimon's Obituary
Nora J. McClimon, 77, of Clinton passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus.
Following Nora’s wishes there will be no services at this time, burial of her urn will take place at a later date.
Nora Jeanne McClimon was born March 2, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of David Scott and Evelyn (Shirk) Cook. She was a 1959 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Lawrence McClimon on December 21, 1959 in Morrison, Illinois; they renewed their vows in the Catholic Faith in El Cajon, California in 1961
Nora was a homemaker and raised four children. She loved time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going shopping and spending time at the casino.
Nora is survived by her loving husband Larry McClimon of Clinton; four children: Laurel (Marvin) Good of Clinton, L. Michael (Mary) McClimon of Safety Harbor, Florida, Dea (David) Mills of Clinton and David (Chris) McClimon of Marion, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Joshua Good, Timothy, Matthew and Jacob Mills, Jessica and Ben McClimon, and Cory and Sydney McClimon; and one great grandson: Remey Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jane Kenworthy, and infant sister Susie Cook.
