Nickoletta Bakas' Obituary
Nickoletta Bakas, 61, of Clinton, died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Mercy Living Center – North. Services will be 1:30pm, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnathan Harris, Scott Crider, Nicholas Bakas, Sam Farrell, Matt Farrell, and Jamal Harris. Visitation will be from 11:30am to the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Nickoletta Bakas was born on September 5, 1949 in Iowa Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Nicholas and Wanda (Grisham) Bakas. She was recently was waitress at Sister’s Café. Prior to that she was a waitress at the J&D Steakhouse for 25 years. She is survived by a daughter: Kristine Crider of Clinton; two sons: Scott (Keri) Crider of Palm Coast, Florida, and Johnathan (Aquila) Harris of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; three sisters: Kanella Bakas of Iowa City, Georgia Balvanz of Hubbard, Iowa, and Linda Bakas of Iowa City, Iowa; two brothers: John Bakas and Bob Boyer both of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, one brother, and her former husband: Robert Harris. Memorials to be made to the family.
