My sympathy to the entire family.
She was a lovely lady. Our prayers go to the family.
Nell & Grandma Young ran a boarding house and took care of a lot of people,
I was the only male living there and was spoiled by these gracious and giving women with their shining eyes and knowing looks of I know what you're up to! Best boarding house food you could ever reach across the table for!
Our friendship is over 50 years and am
glad that we got to have a mini reunion with Nell and Shelia last fall with Wanda and Lyn. Love and joy lived in their house which was our home away from home!
Just want to let the family know how sorry I am for your loss! It was a pleasure taking care of Nellie! She was a great lady and will always be remembered by me!! Love and sympathy to you all~
Peggy & Shelia I am sorry for your loss and wish I could be there for the service. Please send me a address so I can send a memorial to the family.
Peg & I first met in 9th grade at Wahington Jr. High. After graduation, I got a job at Sears in Clinton. Since I was from out of town, Nell invited me to stay at their house. Then Dave and Wanda joined in the fun on 10th Ave. South. Grandma Young and Nell created a wonderful home for so many for so long. Homemade bread and double chocolate chip cookies...ummm. Nell was our "mother confessor". She even let us drive her car! She was either crazy or a saint. I tend to think she was a saint. Thank you Nell.
I am grateful I had the chance to meet your mother last summer. I enjoyed our visit and all of the information she remembered. It was invaluable. I feel closer to another branch of the McPeck tree. My prayers are with you and your families.
