Nelda J. Koppenhaver's Obituary
Nelda J. Koppenhaver, 98, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Alverno.
Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Nelda Jean Porter was born on March 19, 1919 in Anamosa, Iowa the daughter of J. Eugene and Grace (Ireland) Porter. She was a1936 graduate of Anamosa High School. She married John Koppenhaver on February 26, 1939 in Anamosa, he died September 23, 2002.
Nelda worked in the Clinton County Treasurers office for several years before retiring. She attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and was a member and past president of the Izaac Walton League, and Tri-S.
Nelda is survived by two daughters: Karmen Ketelsen of Lowden, Iowa, Kathleen Clark of Joliet, Illinois, a son: Dale (Terry) Koppenhaver of Clinton; 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter: Karen, one brother, two sisters, and a great-grandson.
Memorials can be made to the Alverno or a charity of your choice.
