Neil Emil Nord's Obituary
Neil Emil Nord, 67, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Mercy Hospital Javon Bae Campus, Rockford, Illinois.
A celebration of life for Neil will be held at 11AM Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 10AM to 11AM, Friday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with arrangements. Private burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monticello, Iowa.

Neil was born December 7, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Emil Walford and Emma Frances (Chandler) Nord. He was a 1970 Clinton High School graduate and received his BA in Business Administration from Mount St, Clare College. Neil married Linda Jo McDonald; she preceded him in death in 2000. He married Beverly Kratzer on January 25, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Neil had been a plant manager for several manufacturing plants including Collis Company in Clinton. Most recently he had been employed with security at the Wild Rose Casino.
Neil was a member of the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Neil enjoyed golfing and loved all animals, especially his pets.
Survivors include his wife Beverly of Clinton, Iowa; daughter, Tara Jo Nord of DeWitt, Iowa; brothers, George (Heidi) Nord of Winnsboro, South Carolina and Carl Nord of Clinton, Iowa; sister Esther Ness of Lodi, California and several nieces and nephews.
Neil was preceded in death by his first wife, son, Christopher, brother, Eric, sisters, Juanita and Carol and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elvira Zion Lutheran Church or to the Carroll County Humane Society of McKenzie, TN.
