Nancy L. Foley's Obituary
Nancy L. Foley, 87, of Clinton passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at Big Meadows in Savanna.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 (Noon), Monday February 5, 2024 at Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Foley, Todd Guilliams, Jon Foley, RJ Kimmer, Kyle Guilliams and Tre Foley. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Uptograw and Mike “Bubba” Bos. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time on Monday.
Nancy Lee Dixon was born December 2, 1936 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Nettie Mae (Coppernoll) Dixon. She attended Savanna High School. She was united in marriage on February 26, 1955 to Harry P. Foley; he preceded her in death on November 3, 2013.
Nancy worked as the office administrator at Sarah Harding for 30 years, retiring in 2018. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, the WATANYE Club and the Clinton’s Women's Club. She enjoyed camping, doing crafts, scrapbooking and researching genealogy. Mostly she loved time spent with her family and friends, she was quite the social butterfly.
She is survived by her children: Harry (Roxann) Foley, Jr. of Shellsburg, Iowa, Hope (Randy) Kimmer of Kelseyville, California, Tom (Pam) Foley of Clinton and Richard (Christina) Foley of Clinton; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren; siblings: Paul (Mariann) Dixon of Sabula, Iowa and Arlene (Paul) Winkler of Savanna; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Mike Bos, two daughters: Viola Foley and Zelma Upatraw; grandson Kit Wilson; great granddaughter Baby Rose and two brothers Don and Robert Dixon.
