Milie and I worked together at Jane Lamb in the Nursery. She loved the babies. She was fun to work with. On one occasion we had a Pediatritian who had an accent. I couldn't understand him so I asked Millie what he said. She said "Oh, never mind, honey, if it's important he'll write it down". We all loved Millie.

Grandma Hall was a truly kind and beautiful person. She always made me feel special. As I think of her now, I’m amazed at how meaningful her simple kindness was.
She used to make a banana cream pie whenever I’d visit her. It was always a simple one, mind you: graham cracker crust, banana and a bit of pudding. Yet, they were delicious, and just for me.
She used to save loose pennies and put them in a little wooden hippopotamus on the writing desk. Just a few dollars worth of pennies, but they were all for me. And boy, did I feel special.
She used to keep my little sketches and pencil drawings on display in her apartment, long after I’d given them to her; as if they had been created by someone she was really proud of, someone special.
She used to always greet me enthusiastically saying, “bless your heart!” And it’s these memories of her kind and beautiful spirit that I’ll always cherish.
So in the end, I still feel special and blessed. I am blessed to have had her as my loving grandmother.
