Mildred E. Haack's Obituary
Mildred “Millie” E. Haack, 96, of Clinton passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at her home in Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday October 17, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Troha, James Hess, Matthew Hess, Troy Meyermann, Jon Meyermann and Lewis Meyermann. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday evening at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Mildred Emily Drews was born August 8, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Ella (Paasch) Drews. She was a 1945 graduate of Lyons High School. She married John Haack on April 9, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa; he preceded in death on February 16, 2005.
Millie was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she participated in Ladies Aide, Couples Club and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Republican Women’s Club, Friends of Library and she and John enjoyed playing Bridge and were members of many bridge clubs. She enjoyed time spent at Lake Wabedo.
Millie is survived by her son Thomas (Kathy Smith) Haack of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Kristen (Jarret, JD) Hitchings of Charlotte, North Carolina, Michelle (Dr. Daniel) Troha of Charlotte, North Carolina, Steven (Hannah) Haack of Wilmington, Delaware, and Dr. Hilary (Dr. Geoffrey Sirockman) Haack of Berlin, Maryland; great grandchildren: Lincoln, Emerson, Luka, Emily, Molly, Ivy and Lily; sister: Lois Meyermann of Clinton; and sister-in-law: Rosemary Haack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son: David Haack, daughter-in-law Robin Haack and one brother Melvin Drews.
