I ALWAYS loved you, sweetheart. I remember on the day I was married and was sitting down afterwards in my lovely white wedding gown and you were just a pretty little girl all shy to come up to me and I saw you point at me and and heard you say " Princess." I could tell you really thought I was one. I NEVER forgot that nor will. It was so charming and sweet.

My heart broke a little this morning when I learned of Michelle's passing. Over the decades of my career I hated diabetes because of the devastation it caused. Michelle was one of the reasons. Over the years she and I became not just diabetes educator and patient. I couldn't help but respect where she was on her life journey even when we disagreed on her path. She struggled and won and struggled and lost but was always sweet and grateful for anything I could offer her. My sympathies to her mom and family - she loved you all so much.

To Michelle's children and family I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. We went to high school together and worked at Swiss Colony. She was always such a nice fun person to be around. I will truly miss her. My condolences to you all. God Bless. Joanne Kilburg
