Michael P. Sullivan's Obituary
Michael P. Sullivan, 68 of Clinton, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at his home.
Funeral Mass will be 1:00pm, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am to the mass time Monday at the church. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Michael Patrick Sullivan was born on June 25, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Vernon and Dorothy (Hughes) Sullivan. He was a 1972 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Dorothy Fontenoy on July 6, 1974 in Fulton.
Mike was an over the road truck driver since the age 18. He drove for Independent Operator Inc. and Joe Rud Trucking. He retired in April of 2022 after logging over 7 million miles.
Mike enjoyed music, attending concerts and music fests. He loved classic cars and enjoyed police dramas on tv.
Mike is survived by his wife: Dorothy of Clinton; his children: David Sullivan of Clinton, Matthew (Jennifer) Sullivan of Davenport, Daniel Sullivan of Clinton, and Lyndsey Sullivan of Clinton; two grandchildren: Gabrielle and Jack; his siblings: Kevin (Sharae) Sullivan of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Steve (Sherri) Sullivan of Clinton, Rosemary Sullivan of Wilton, Iowa, Gloriann (Scott) Davis of Hannibal, Missouri, Beverly (Henry) Bentley of Durant, Iowa, and Eileen (Sarne Moore) Sullivan of Wilton, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
