Michael Macke's Obituary
Michael A. Macke, 63, of Camanche, died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.
There will be no services or visitation. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Michael Allen Macke was born on February 2, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Leora (Reiling) Macke. He was a graduate of Clinton High School.
Mike worked as a greens keeper for many golf courses in the area including the Clinton Country Club, Valley Oaks, and Crow Valley.
Mike enjoyed fishing, golfing, and the social life at Jersey’s in Camanche.
Mike is survived by three brothers: James (Donna Clark) Macke of Camanche, Ed (Sue) Macke of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Joseph Macke, Jr. of Clinton; his sister: Elaine Macke-McKinney of Clinton; his granddaughter: Shannon Benenma, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
