Michael Linder's Obituary
Michael C. Linder, 57, of Camanche died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 3 to 6pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be Monday, November 2, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wiesema, Ron Wehde, Larry Mullin, Larry McElroy, Doug Haack, and Terry Goldbeck. Honorary pallbearers will be Brenda Waldorf, Thomas Coffey, and Robert Coffey. Michael was born on August 24, 1952 in Morrison, IL. He was a 1971 Camanche High School graduate. He married Barbara Coffey on September 14, 1974 at The Church of Visitation in Camanche. He had been employed as a mechanic with Sethness for 35 years. He loved fishing, playing cards, shooting pool, sports, especially the Hawkeyes and Steelers, and loved spending time with friends and family, particularly his four grandchildren. He is survived by one daughter: Christina (Roger) Vogel of Camanche; his parents: Georgia and Robert Null of Camanche; 4 grandchildren: Kayla Leque, Hunter, Allyson, and Benjamin Vogel; 2 brothers: Andrew (Katie) Linder of Clinton and Ricky Linder of Morris, IL; and one sister: Debra (Michael) Thomas of Clinton. Michael is preceded in death by his son Michael J. Linder, his sister Pamela Warning, and his father Caroll Linder. Memorials may be made to the family.
