Melissa D. Brown's Obituary
Melissa D. Brown, 37, of DeWitt passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Lusk Cemetery in Albany, Illinois. Serving as pallbearers will be Amanda Graham, Ian Graham, Jade Brown, Dalton Brown, Bruce Brown, Becca Brown and Krystal Brown. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm (Noon) until the service time at the funeral home.
Melissa Dawn Brown was born June 7, 1989 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Bruce Brown and Renee Fritzenmeier. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. She enjoyed being outside and listening to music. Missy especially loved to listen to Billy Ray Cyrus and once at the Shriner’s Campground she was brought up on stage and got to dance with him. It was a very special moment for her. Missy loved to go to camp Courageous during her younger years and like to ride the horses. Missy loved going for walks and being in the outdoors. Everyone that knew Missy loved her. She had a big smile and a contagious laugh that would make anyone feel better.
She is survived by her father Bruce (Becca) Brown of Clinton, mother Renee Fritzenmeier of Wisconsin, paternal grandmother and longtime caregiver Judy Brown of Clinton; siblings: Corey Fritzenmeier of Wisconsin, Jesse Brown of Clinton, Dalton Brown of Clinton, Krystal Brown of Clinton, Bruce Brown, Jr. of Florida; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Missy was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Walter L Brown, half brother Buddy L Brown and paternal great grandmother Neetha Stauffer.
