Maxine Pauline De Voe, 90, of Maquoketa, formerly of Clinton passed away, Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Crestridge Care Center – Maquoketa.

Maxine was born June 12, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Max and Adelia (Carlsen) Terrock. She was a 1948 graduate of Lyon’s High School and was a graduate of Marycrest College. She married Raymond C. De Voe on April 27, 1957 in Clinton; he died March 10, 2015.
Maxine was a 5th grade elementary teacher for the Riverbend School district for 34 years retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, She was a veteran of the Women’s Army Corps.
She is survived by two daughters: Nanette (Gerald) Beau of Maquoketa and Jill (Dennis) Garner of Maquoketa; one granddaughter: Jordan (Adam) Pape; great-granddaughter Ava of Maquoketa and her sister, Darlene Yock of Lovespark, Illinois.
The family requests that memorials be made to Crestridge Care Center or Hospice of Jackson County.
