Mary Louise Sartwell's Obituary
Mary Louise Sartwell, aged 85, passed away on December 3, 2023, at Bickford Senior Living in Davenport, Iowa. She was born on December 18, 1937, in Savanna, Illinois, to William and Henrietta (Nehrkorn) Hansen.
Mary shared 65 years of marriage with her late husband, Richard Sartwell, whom she wed on January 11, 1958, in their hometown of Savanna, Illinois. A dedicated mother, she lovingly raised her three sons, Thomas, Jeffrey, and Michael.
Known for her culinary skills and neighborly kindness, Mary was an active and supportive member of her church and enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors. Her warm and outgoing nature left a lasting impression on those around her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Sartwell, and their son, Thomas W. Sartwell. A memorial church service in her honor will take place at the Catholic Church of the Visitation in Camanche, Iowa, on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11 am. Following the service, internment will occur at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Savanna, Illinois.
