Mary (Sally) Johnson's Obituary
Mary (Sally) Johnson passed away August 8, 2021, at the age of 95 years-old at Upstate University Hospital Community Campus in Syracuse, New York with her family at her side.
Mary (Sally) LaDon Armstrong was born on October 11, 1925 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Guy and Corinne Fenimore Armstrong. Sally was a 1944 graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University both in Cape Girardeau. She married Herbert C. Johnson on March 15, 1946. He died on March 7, 1984.
Sally was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She was a past president of Franklin School; P.T.A., a fifty-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #65, and Tri S Women's Club.
She is survived by two sons: Kenneth of Syracuse, NY, Douglas of Canton, MI, a step-son Charles of Simi Valley, CA, grandchildren Michael, Ashley, Ezra, and William, and several nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Lyman, Lloyd, and George, and two sisters Louise Taylor and Lillian Heggie.
Visitation will be from 4pm-7pm Wednesday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Bell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sally may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to the First United Methodist Church.
