Mary Paysen's Obituary
Mary C. Paysen, 81, of Clinton, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Bickford Cottage, Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday, February 26, 2010 at Prince of Peace Parish Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Paysen, Rodney Paysen, William Paysen, and James Whitney. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Mary C. Sturtz was born on November 10, 1928, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Wilhelm and Mary (Kirnbouer) Sturtz. She married Gilbert Paysen on July 23, 1960 in Camanche. She was employed with Burpee Seed Company for over 30 years retiring in 1975. Prior to that she was employed at the Cottage Inn. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband: Gilbert of Clinton; one brother: George Sturtz of Emmitt, Idaho, two sister-in-laws: Patricia Sturtz of Waterloo, Iowa, and Hazel Sturtz of Clinton; one aunt: Lorraine Schultz of Chicago, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
