Mary Kay Namer's Obituary
Mary Kay Namer, 57, of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton. Private family services will be held at 3PM Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Public Visitation will be held from 1PM until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.snellzornig.com. Cremation will follow the private service.
Mary Kay was born March 28, 1957 in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of James and Barbara (Harrington) Carnahan. She was a 1975 DeWitt High School graduate and received her CNA certification from Clinton Community College. Mary Kay married Allen Namer July 19, 1974 in DeWitt, Iowa.
She had been employed as a CNA at the Alverno, Wyndcrest and Harbor Crest nursing homes prior to retiring in 1986.
Survivors include her husband, Allen of Clinton; children, Jessen Wade (Cassie) Namer of Tipton, IA; Amy Namer, Rhonda Namer and David Namer all of Clinton; 10 grandchildren with one on the way; one great-grandson; mother, Barbara Scott of DeWitt; siblings, Larry Joe (Linda) Bouma of Florida; Kathy (Bob) Skeffington of Davenport; Jane (Kent) Vogt of Morrison and James Carnahan of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Loeffer, her father and her step father, Robert Scott.
Memorials may be made to the family for a favorite charity.
