Mary K. Leeper's Obituary
Mary K. Leeper, 85, of Clinton passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Alverno-Clinton.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Friday evening at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Clinton.
Mary K. Leeper was born January 30, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Arnold and Mary (West) Krongard. She was a 1959 graduate of Mt. St. Clare High School and earned an Associates Degree from Mt. St. Clare College in 1962. She married Stanley Leeper on October 9, 1976 in Clinton, Iowa; he preceded her in death on February 17, 2016.
Mary worked at Clinton National Bank as a bookkeeper for 25 years; retiring in 2005. Prior to that she worked at Carstensen Freight for 13 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by two siblings: Carol Harridge of Morrison, Illinois and Richard “Dick” Krongard of Vienna, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, parents and nephew Mark Harridge.
