Mary Jensen's Obituary
Mary C. Jensen, 88, of Clinton, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Memorial Services will be 1:00pm, Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the Grand Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Mary Clare Schimins was born on December 25, 1919 in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Tomascheski) Schimins. She married Andrew M. Jensen on October 24, 1942 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church; he later died November 16, 2002. She was a 1939 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She was a homemaker and also managed a grocery store in her younger years. She was a member of Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Parish. She is survived by her son: Frank (Linda) Jensen of Clinton; two daughters: Mary Jo (John) Engler of Springfield, Missouri, and Vivian (David) Harding of Cape Coral, Florida; seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one sister: Margaret Bertrand of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and one sister. Memorials can be made to the family.
