Mary Jane Bock's Obituary
Mary Jane Bock, 84, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, April 10, 2020 at Prairie Hills – Clinton.
Private Services will be Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rich Johannsen, Adam Johannsen, JC Thompson, and Chad Rickertsen.
Mary Jane Hansen was born on February 25, 1936 in Andover, Iowa, the daughter of Lyman and Alta (Hagge) Hansen. She was a 1954 graduate of Lyons High School. She married Arlo Bock on July 21, 1972 in Clinton, Iowa; he died November 4, 2010.
Mary Jane was a salesclerk at Brown’s Shoe Fit for 30 years retiring in 1998. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and taking walks outside. At 4:00pm on most days you would find her sipping her Vodka gimlet. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mary Jane is survived by her three daughters: Dawn Vicks of Clinton, Kristi (Richard) Johannsen of Clinton, and Lisa (JC Thompson) Leslie of Clinton; six grandchildren: Lindsay Leslie, Adam Johannsen, Ashley Johannsen, Alexi (Sam) Peters, Megan (Jesse Jones) Vicks, and Halee Vicks; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
