Mary Jacobsen's Obituary
Mary Josephine Jacobsen, 55, of Clinton, Iowa, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Clinton, Iowa. Services will be held at 6 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. Mary was born September 26, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Wilfred E. and Dorothy J. (Krava) McDonald. She married Ron Jacobsen June 28, 1975 in Clinton. She had been employed at Collis Company for twenty years. She had also been employed as a nurse's aide and enjoyed working with the elderly. Mary was a Make-A-Wish volunteer. Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Jacobsen and Cyara Peterson, both of Clinton; three grandchildren, Lukas Jacobsen, Chase Peterson and Carter Kersey all of Clinton; sister, Kay (Gene) Scott of Camanche; brother, Tim (Jill) McDonald of Clinton; cousins, nieces, nephews, an aunt and uncle and her close friend, Gary LaShelle of Savanna, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Memorials may be made to the family.
