Mary Callahan's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Callahan, 95, of Clinton, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton. Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Callahan was born on January 24, 1914 in Whitesville, Kentucky the daughter of Ivan and Nora Purcell. She worked for S.H. Kness in the office for 11 years and for J.J. Newbery helping to set up the office and worked until 1964. She retired and married Virgil L. Callahan on November 6, 1964. They spent 37 wonderful years together. Virgil passed away on October 28, 2001. She had one sister and three brothers who all preceded her in death. Services will be held in Bakersfield, California and will be buried next to her husband at the Greenlawn Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
