Marvin A. Rasmussen, 71, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his home in Clinton.
A celebration of Marvin’s life will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Marvin Allen Rasmussen was born on May 13, 1947 in Clinton, the son of Marvin and Elaine (Doty) Rasmussen. After his father passed away his mother remarried Harry Finch who raised Marvin as his own. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during Vietnam on the USS Forrestal.
Marvin married Teresa Shaw on November 4, 1966; she passed away on November 28, 2017.
Marvin was a general and concrete contractor for many years. He enjoyed fishing and his animals.
Marvin is survived by his children: Yvonne (Paul) Maze of Miles, Iowa, Eric (Andrea) Rasmussen of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Neal Rasmussen of Clinton, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his sister: Linda (Ronnie) Smith of California. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson: Keegan and two sisters: Karen and Judy.
