Marvin I. Nissen, 86, of Clinton, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Spring Read Obituary

Dear Nissen Family,
May God be with you during this difficult time.
I am so glad my parents and sister were able to visit with your mom and dad this summer.
Your dad had such a quiet/dry sense of humor. He brought smiles to our visit this past June.
He was also such a patient golfer when my dad would bring me with them when I would come to visit each summer your dad golfed.
The Zabilka family will miss such a wonderfully kind, caring and gentle man. May God be with you!

Marvin was a delightful addition to our group. Although it was evident that Marv's condition was not improving, he and Shirley continued to attend our meetings. They set examples of how to accept life's challenges.
Marvin Nissen's presence will be missed, but his spirit will be with us.
