Marsha Merritt's Obituary
Marsha L. Merritt, 65, of Clinton, died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her home in Clinton.
Memorial Services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home.
Marsha L. Dorathy was born on August 28, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Lillian (Harrington) Dorathy.
Marsha was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School, and also graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1976.
Marsha was a probation and parole officer in Clinton and in Farmville and Suffolk, Virginia for 20 years.
Marsha enjoyed quilting and traveling.
Marsha is survived by three sons: Christopher (Terri) Merritt of Great Bend, Kansas, Todd (Brenda) Merritt of Clinton, Iowa, and Richard Merritt of Beresford, South Dakota; four grandchildren; two brothers: Gerry (Mary Jo) Dorathy of Neosha Springs, Kansas, and Billy Dorathy of Clinton, Iowa; three sisters: Barbara Hoy of Conyers, Georgia, Norene Moore of Tallahassee, Florida, and Gwen (Wayne) Schaper of Tallahassee, Florida, several nieces and nephews, and one special cousin: Sharon Bailey of Clinton.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, and her foster brother: Bill Herrmann.
The family requests that memorials be made to Gateway Free Clinic.
