Mark Marik's Obituary
Mark G. Marik, 52, of Camanche, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Mark Gordon Marik was born on December 29, 1956 in DeWitt, Iowa, the son of Robert and Joan (Schrader) Marik. He married Kathy Richeal on October 1, 1983 in DeWitt, Iowa. Mark attended the DeWitt Central schools. Mark was employed as a truck driver, a roofer for Local #32, and in construction. Mark enjoyed having a good time with friends, family, and at the trucker’s jamboree at I-80 Walcott. Mark is survived by his son: Ryan Marik of Moline, Illinois, his parents: Robert and Karla Marik of Camanche, his brother: Kevin (Joy) Marik of DeWitt; two sisters: Robin Flynn of Camanche, and Tammy Marik of Camanche, and several nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, his brother Dean and by his maternal and paternal grandparents. The family requests memorials be made to the family.
