Mark D. Bendlage, 67, of Camanche passed away December 25, 2023 at Mercy Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.
Per Mark’s wishes there will be no services. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with the cremation. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Mark David Bendlage was born December 17, 1956 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Francis and Lois (Reed) Bendlage. He married Faith Schutte on September 4, 2010. Mark was employed at DuPont in Fort Madison, Iowa, Detroit, Michigan and Camanche for many years. He retired from the maintenance department at Clysar in Camanche, Iowa.
Mark is survived by his wife Faith Bendlage of Camanche; children: Leslie (Brian) Ross of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Lindsay (Andrew) Schutte of Clinton; step-children: Andrew (Lindsay) Schutte of Clinton Heather (Brandon) Thrasher of Texas, Anthonie (Lauren) Medellin of Texas and Ashley Medellin of Texas; step-mother: Sondra Bendlage of Fort Madison, Iowa; two sisters: Lisa (Vern) Lee and Andrea Bendlage; step-brother Burk (Kelli) Schelen; 8 grandchildren; two great grandchildren, mother-in-law Dora Orman of Camanche, father-in-law: Floyd (Joann) Schutte of Camanche; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lori Becker and father-in-law Richard “Rich” Orman.
