Marjorie M. Nielsen's Obituary
Marjorie M. Nielsen, 91, of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at her home in Clinton. A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory.

Marjorie was born December 3, 1928 in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of John and Margaret (Sikkema) Dyke. She was a 1946 Fulton High School graduate. Marjorie married Lynn Nielsen in Nashua, Iowa on July 29, 1949; he died August 21, 1988.
Marjorie was employed as a bookkeeper at Shull’s Clothing Store for more than 25 years.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Margo (Stephen) Hicks of Clinton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Dyke of Janesville, WI; Verna Vining of Iowa City, IA; Jean Smith of Tucson, AZ; Carol Jenkin of Mesquite, TX and Gail Thompson of Cedar Park, TX.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son Craig, two sisters and a brother.
Memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choice.
