Marion L. Shippee, 83, of Camanche, passed away, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Manor Care – Dubuque, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church – Camanche. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Marion Louise Nave was born on September 10, 1934 in Clinton, the daughter of Max and Esther (Easten) Nave. She married Kenneth Shippee on March 7, 1980 in Clinton; he died January 31, 2002.
Marion was a 1952 graduate of Lyons High School. She was a homemaker.
Marion was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, member and past matron of Eastern Star, and member and past worthy high priestest of Magi Shrine. She also sang with the Clintones.
Marion is survived by her children: Barbara (Loyd) Henson of Mayflower, Arkansas, Donald (Cathy Walz) Byers of Camanche, Iowa, and Michelle Edens of Camanche; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
