Marilyn A. Mayer's Obituary
Marilyn A. Mayer, 91, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Prairie Hills – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00am to the service time at the funeral home.
Marilyn Ann Mersch was born on July 29, 1929 the daughter of Peter and Marie (Petersen) Mersch. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1948. She married Gerald Mayer on July 30, 1950; they later divorced.
Marilyn worked for Mayer Bookkeeping, Dee Gosling & Company and retired from the Clinton County Auditors Office.
Marilyn leaves a sister: Joan Lyon of Clinton; three nieces and one nephew: Barbara (Doug) Evers, Sandra Lyon, DeBora (Frederick) Roling, and James Lyon; four great nephews: Aaron, Sean, Wayne, and Brennen; one great-niece: AuBreeAunna, great-great nieces & nephews: Addison, Alivia, Liam, and Luke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: George Merch and Arthur Merch, and brother-in-law: Robert Lyon.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the girls at Prairie Hills and Genesis Hospice for their excellent care.
