Marilyn K. Huff's Obituary
Marilyn K. Huff, 75, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery – DeWitt, Iowa. Serving as pallbearers will be Ed Bowers, Joe Pederson, Jesse Jacobs, Brian Munson, Mike Steward, John Heim, Mark Tervelt, Paul Tervelt, Ken Voss and Mark Mallicoat. Marilyn Kay Ramig was born on May 5, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Jesse (Brown) Ramig. She was a 1957 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Bill Huff on May 2, 1959 in Clinton; he died April 17, 2000.
Marilyn was employed in the judicial system in Clinton and Jackson Counties for 40 years. She served as Clerk of Court for over 25 years; retiring on May 3, 2013.
Marilyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton Kiwanis, the Mardi Gras committee, Symphony of Lights, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Marilyn is survived by her son: Judd (Denise) Huff of Davenport, three grandchildren: Shawn (Annamarie) Huff of Las Vegas, Nv, Zach Huff of St. Petersburg, Fl, and Autumn Huff of Davenport; one sister: Bonnie (Richard) Tervelt of Burlington, Nc, and one brother: Thomas “Tom” Ramig of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers: Raymond, Russell, Clifford, Donald, Gerald, and William, and one sister: Joy.
Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Childcare/Preschool.
