Marilyn M. Clausen's Obituary
Marilyn M. Clausen, 89, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Prairie Hills, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 12:00pm, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church – Clinton. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Clausen, Cody Clausen, Matt Burken, and Adam Burken. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Tait Wilson. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory – Clinton is assisting the family.
Marilyn M. Cosman was born on November 25, 1925 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of John and Martha (Eickert) Cosman. She married Harold W. Clausen on June 17, 1951 in Clinton; he died July 22, 1991. She was a homemaker.
Marilyn was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, past President and member of the Clinton Women’s Club, a member of the Mississippi River Parkway Commission, PEO Chapter HV, past President of Antiques 1, and past President of the Curtis Mansion Foundation.
Survivors include two sons: Peter (Kim) Clausen of Camanche, Jon (Natasha) Clausen of Clinton, one daughter: Sonja (Brent) Wilson of Clinton; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and a special friend: Jack Wilson of Clinton; and sister-in-law: Anna Marie Sink of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and four sisters.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Women’s Club.
