Marilyn C. Canaday, 67, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Genesis East, Davenport, Iowa. Services will be 10:30AM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM, Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Marilyn Klostermann was born July 13, 1950 in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter Joseph and Hilda (Link) Klostermann. She was of Vinton High School and received her cosmetology degree.
Marilyn was employed as a cosmetologist for many years and had also been employed at Kwik Star and DM Service Inc. in Clinton.
Marilyn married William Petersen in Vinton, Iowa in 1971. She later married Craig Canaday August 5, 1994 in Galena, Illinois.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Craig Canaday of Clinton, Iowa; son, Tony (Chrystal) Petersen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; step-children, Matt Canaday and Kim (Jenifer) Canaday of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; grandchildren Dakota Canaday and Abbey Canaday; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Petersen, her parents and brother, Robert.
Memorials may be made to a Prince of Peace.
