Marilyn Baldridge's Obituary
Marilyn K. Baldridge, 63, of Clinton died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. Funeral services will be 10:30am Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4-7:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edmund Laing, Frank H. Gillen, Robert Laing, Rick Gillen and Daniel Gillen. Honorary pallbearer is David Baldridge. Marilyn Kay Laing was born on January 6, 1947 in Clinton, the daughter of Harold D. and Marguerite M. (Burke) Laing. She was a 1965 DeWitt Central High School graduate. She married Bentley A. Baldridge on January 6, 1968 in Clinton; he died on January 27, 2002. She had been employed as a pizza maker for many years at Casey’s General Store in Thomson, IL. She later worked for 2nd Street Cleaners in Clinton until retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Clinton AMVETS auxiliary. She was a wonderful homemaker, and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her two daughters: Christine M. Hill of Mayfield, KY, and Carolyn (Larry Schultz) Baldridge of Clinton; 6 grandchildren: Brittany, Kayla, Serina, Kelsey, Tarah, and David; 3 great grandchildren: Kirah, Grace, and Carter; one brother: Edmund H. (Renate) Laing of Yuma, AZ; one sister: Betty A. (Frank P.) Gillen of Savanna, IL, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy. Memorials may be made to the family.
